General Information

The Poseidon Sprint/Standard distance Triathlon will be held in the private grounds of Dacre Lakeside Park (Dacre Park website). The park has its own restaurant and bar and offers lots of fun activities for the whole family. Why not make a weekend of it and stay in one of the many log cabins or lakeside pods (Accomodation).

Bike Racking - 

Race Start Times - Standard distance will begin at 0800. The Sprint distance will begin at 0845 or when the last Standard distance swimmer leaves the water.

Sport Sunday

As always we will be offering FREE race photos so you don’t forget your experience at Dacre Park and the Poseidon triathlon (Visit Website).

Swim

The swim will be held in a lake, which will either consist of 1 lap (Sprint) or 2 laps (Standard). This lake is safe and perfect for those novice athletes who have yet to experience an open water triathlon. All standard distance athletes will experience an Australian swim exit, taking you directly under the spectator gantry.

Bike

The bike route is a series of safe left turns with 2 roundabouts (all manned). This bike course is flat and fast, so perfect for your TT/triathlon bike (View Route). Like all our bike/triathlon events we will have qualified traffic management staff situated around the route for your safety.

Run

The run will be all within the grounds of Dacre Park. The course is predominantly on tarmac and track which is excellent for fast PB times.
