Rubicon -  1900m Swim - Map

All triathletes will walk (5 mins) to the start of the swim directly after the race brief.  

Swim Exit to Transition Area

 

You will exit the swim directly in front of the main house, from here you will run through the main gardens of Newby Hall towards the transition area (dont forget to take in the view!).  The run to transition will take approximately 60 seconds with the whole route carpeted for your comfort (click image below for a virtual fly past of the swim exit). Its one of the mot iconic transition runs in the UK.

                       Transition area 

The transition is situated on a large well maintained lawn directly to the east of Newby Hall with easy access to a private road (traffic free) which leads you out onto the bike route (click on transition area image for a virtual fly past of transition). Bike Map

 

                             Bike Route 

The 90km bike course (2 lap 40km with 1 lap 8km lap) course on quiet, fast roads (click on bike image below for a virtual fly past of the bike route).  Click here for a map of the bike route. Each lap will bring you back through the stunning grounds of Newby Hall.  

                           

Run Route

The 4 lap run takes you through the private grounds of Newby Hall.  The running surface is excellent underfoot, with a mixture of tarmac and track.  The two lap route allows spectators to see how your race is developing, but it also allows you to experience the great atmosphere and pushes you to run your fastest 21km yet on this fast course.
